Instructor Certification

Do you have an interest in becoming a certified Tai Chi and Qi Gong Instructor?

We do have a path for you.

In all cases, the difference between being a Tai Chi Instructor or a Qi Gong instructor is pretty simple.  All of our students will learn our Qi Gong, as it is the most relevant part of what we teach.  To be a certified Tai Chi Instructor, you’ll have to be able to do the Qi Gong as well as perform a Tai Chi form. Preferably one of the ones we teach, but not necessarily.  Then you have to be able to demonstrate the applications to the form as well as be able to perform the appropriate level of body quality with the form in question.

This could be a good fit for you if you are a healthcare provider, holistic provider of some type, therapist, yoga instructor, martial arts instructor, or really anybody who feels that being a certified instructor of Tai Chi and /or Qi Gong would be useful for you. Here’s how it works.

We have 6 units in our curriculum.  Anyone who attends one of our workshops can receive a Certificate of Participation just for attending.  This doesn’t mean that you can do the material, just that you were there and have exposure.

Next, for those who can perform the material in any given section upon being tested can receive a Certificate of Completion.  This means that they can do the material from that unit, but does not confirm that they can actually teach it.

And finally, one can become a Certified Instructor upon the ability to perform the material as well as teach it using our specific teaching methods. There are also some time frames that need to be worked with.

I say finally, but there is one more level.  One can become a Master Instructor when they are a certified instructor of all of the units and can teach them. This is based ultimately on if I feel that you are deserving of the title of Master. My criteria for this is rather simple.  If I put you in front of a bunch of Tai Chi and Qi Gong Masters, would they be okay with you having the title?

Associated costs.  You only pay for the events you attend and the testing process.  There are no other fees.
